Business Meeting To Consider A Pending Nomination And Pending Legislation

The business meeting will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 366 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C.

The purpose of the business meeting is to consider a pending nomination and legislation on agenda below.

Agenda Item 1: Nomination of Laura Daniel-Davis to be an Assistant Secretary of the Interior (Land and Minerals Management).

  • The motion to report Ms. Daniel-Davis’s nomination resulted in a tied vote. Chairman Manchin will notify the Secretary of the Senate of the tie vote, after which the Senate Majority Leader may move to discharge the nomination so that, if agreed to, the nomination can be placed on the Senate Executive Calendar.
