  • On Wednesday, March 3, the full committee will consider the President’s proposed budget for FY 2011 for the Department of the Interior and will welcome Secretary K en Salazar as its witness.  For Chairman Bingaman’s views on this budget request, click hereIn conjunction with this hearing, once a reporting quorum of senators is reached, the chairman will convene a business meeting to vote on the pending nominations of Larry Persily to be Federal coordinator for Alaska Natural Gas Transmission Projects, and Patricia Hoffman to be Assistant Secretary of Energy for Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability.  (Dirksen 366 at 10:00 a.m.)
  • On Thursday, March 4, the full committee will examine the Department of Energy’s implementation of programs authorized and funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.  Witnesses will include Matt Rogers, senior advisor, U.S. Department of Energy; Patricia Dalton, managing director, Government Accountability Office; Michele Nellenbach, director, National Governors Association; and Malcolm Woolf, director, Maryland Energy Administration, representing NASEO.  (Dirksen 366 at 10:00 a.m.)
