Media Advisory: Chairman Murkowski and Ranking Member Cantwell Announce Upcoming Field Hearings

The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee will hold a series of field hearings over the July/August recess. The full committee hearings will examine the impacts of monument designations and the economic benefits of reliable energy infrastructure in West Virginia and the nation. More information on the hearings is available on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee website.  

  • Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. MDT – Full committee hearing to conduct oversight on the potential impacts of large-scale monument designations. The field hearing will be held at the San Juan County High School in Blanding, Utah.
  • Monday, August 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. EDT – Full committee hearing to examine the economic importance of modern, reliable energy infrastructure to West Virginia and the United States. The field hearing will be held at the Monongalia County Justice Center in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Audio of the hearings will be available on the committee’s website after the hearing is completed. Witness testimony will be available online immediately before the start of the hearing.
