This week the Department of Energy and ARPA-E convened the nation’s leading individuals and organizations in energy innovation to showcase cutting edge technologies, highlight ARPA-E’s program areas and connect key players in advanced energy technologies.  Participants heard speakers like former President Clinton, Energy Secretary Chu, Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates, MIT President Susan Hockfield, Xerox Chairman Ursula Burns, FedEx Chairman Fred Smith and (of course) Senate Energy Committee Chairman Jeff Bingaman engage in discussions about energy financing, new scientific discoveries, manufacturing challenges and many more vital energy issues.  By popular demand, we are pleased to provide this link to Jeff’s speech.
