Manchin Praises House For Passing Natural Resources Management Act

February 26, 2019

Washington, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), Ranking Member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, released the following statement after the passage of the Natural Resources Management Act by U.S. House of Representatives with a vote of 363-62.

“I’m excited to see the House of Representatives overwhelmingly pass the Natural Resources Management Act just as the Senate did. This package provides permanent reauthorization for the Land and Water Conservation Fund, designates 700,000 acres of new recreation and conservation areas and provides direction to all federal departments and agencies to facilitate the expansion and enhancement of hunting, fishing and recreational shooting opportunities on federal lands. I’m proud of this bipartisan piece of legislation and look forward to the President signing it into law.”
