Four More DOE Nominees Headed for Forrestal Building

March 30, 2012

The Senate last night approved four nominees to key positions at the Department of Energy, with responsibilities that span the full range of U.S. energy resources and needs.  The Senate Energy Committee had approved all four nominees – unanimously – last year.  With these Executive Branch appointments, all but one Department of Energy nominee reported by the Committee have now cleared the full Senate:

--David Danielson to be assistant secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy;

--LaDoris (Dot) Harris to be director of the Office of Minority Economic Impact;

--Charles McConnell to be assistant secretary for Fossil Energy; and

--Gregory Woods to be general counsel.
