Committee Reports 23 Bills
 
In a mark-up today, Senate Energy Committee reported 23 bills, regarding energy policy, public land and water issues.  The 17 public land and water bills were passed en bloc by voice vote.  All 23 bills are now eligible for consideration by the full Senate:
 
S. 201  To clarify the jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Interior with respect to the C.C. Cragin Dam and Reservoir in Arizona.  Ordered reported, as introduced, by unanimous voice vote.
 
S. 270  To direct the Secretary of the Interior to convey certain Federal land to Deschutes County, Oregon.  Ordered reported, as amended, by unanimous voice vote.
 
S. 271  To require the Secretary of Agriculture to enter into a property conveyance with the city of Wallowa, Oregon.  Ordered reported, as amended, by unanimous voice vote.
 
S. 278  To provide for the exchange of certain land located in the Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forests in Colorado.  Ordered reported, as introduced, by unanimous voice vote.

S. 997  To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to extend a water contract between the United States and the East Bench Irrigation District in Montana.  Ordered reported, as introduced, by unanimous voice vote.

S. 1001 To reduce oil consumption and improve energy security.  Ordered reported, as amended, by a 12-10 vote.
 
S. 1067 To amend the Energy Policy Act of 2005 to require the Secretary of Energy to carry out a research and development and demonstration program to reduce manufacturing and construction costs relating to nuclear reactors.  Ordered reported, as amended, by voice vote.
