Fact of the Day

According to EPA estimates, by 2012 the government-backed Energy Star program is expected to avoid about 50 million metric tons of carbon equivalent (mmtce) of greenhouse gas emissions each year, equivalent to the emissions from more than 30 million vehicles, and reduce energy bills by about $15 billion annually.
