Bonus …

This week, Chairman Bingaman was pleased to see Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar sign the Record of Decision for the Navajo-Gallup Project which will help secure accessible drinking water supplies for the Navajo people.   Great progress has been made in Congress this year, starting with the passage of the Omnibus Public Lands Management Act of 2009 that authorized the project.   And, just this week, $3 million was included in the Conference Report budget for FY 2010 for the Navajo-Gallup Project which will ensure quality water supply to thousands of New Mexicans that currently are without water.
