  • On Tuesday, May 12, the full committee will consider S. 967, the Strategic Petroleum Reserve Modernization Act of 2009, and S. 283, a bill to amend the Energy Policy and Conservation Act, which calls for modification to the conditions for the release of products from the Northeast Home Heating Oil Reserve Account.    Witness include David Johnson, deputy assistant secretary for petroleum reserves, Department of Energy;  Dr. Frank Rusco, director, Natural Resources and Environment, Government Accountability Office;  John Shages, independent consultant;  Kevin Book, managing director, ClearView Energy Partners, LLC, Washington;  and Didier Houssin, director, Office of Oil Markets and Emergency Preparedness, International Energy Agency, Paris.  (Dirksen 366 at 2:30 p.m.)

  • On Wednesday, May 13, the full committee will hold a business meeting to consider pending nominations and energy legislation, including the transmission of electricity, nuclear waste issues and cybersecurity.  This mark-up is open to the press and the public but will not be webcast/audiocast.   (Dirksen 366 at 10:00 a.m.)
