Chairman Murkowski & Ranking Member Cantwell Announce April Hearing Schedule

The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee will hold five hearings in April, including oversight hearings on the Bureau of Land Management’s final hydraulic fracturing rule, the administration's Quadrennial Energy Review, the Energy Information Administration’s 2015 energy outlook, and the Land and Water Conservation Fund, as well as a legislative hearing on measures being considered for inclusion in the energy efficiency title of a broader energy bill.

Thursday, April 16, 10 a.m. Full committee hearing to receive testimony on the Energy Information Administration’s Annual Energy Outlook for 2015.

Thursday, April 16, 2:30 p.m. Subcommittee on Public Lands, Forests, and Mining hearing to receive testimony on the Bureau of Land Management’s final rule on hydraulic fracturing.  

Wednesday, April 22, 10 a.m. Full committee hearing to receive testimony on reauthorization of and potential reforms to the Land and Water Conservation Fund.

Tuesday, April 28, 10 a.m. Full committee hearing to receive testimony on the administration’s Quadrennial Energy Review.

Thursday, April 30, 10 a.m. Full committee hearing to receive testimony on energy efficiency legislation including:

  • Sen. Coons and Sen. Collins - Weatherization Enhancement and Local Energy Efficiency Investment and Accountability Act (S. 703)
  • Sen. Portman and Sen. Shaheen - Energy Savings and Industrial Competitiveness Act of 2015 (S. 720)
  • Sen. Gardner and Sen. Coons - Energy Savings Through Public-Private Partnerships Act of 2015 (S. 858)
All hearings will be held in the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee room, Dirksen 366, and webcast live on the committee’s website. Witnesses for the above hearings will be posted on the website at a later date. Witness testimony will be available online immediately before the start of each hearing.
