·        On Tuesday, April 27, the Subcommittee on Water and Power will consider S. 745/H.R. 2265, to amend the Reclamation Wastewater and Groundwater Study and Facilities Act to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to participate in the Magna Water District water reuse and groundwater recharge project in Utah; S. 1138/H.R. 2442, to amend the Reclamation Wastewater and Groundwater Study and Facilities Act to expand the Bay Area Regional Water Recycling Program in California; S. 1573/H.R. 2741, to amend the Reclamation Wastewater and Groundwater Study and Facilities Act to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to participate in the City of Hermiston, Oregon, water recycling and reuse project; S. 3099, to reinstate and extend the deadline for commencement of construction of a hydroelectric project involving the American Falls Reservoir in Idaho; S. 3100, to reinstate and extend the deadline for commencement of construction of a hydroelectric project involving the Little Wood River Ranch in Idaho; H.R. 325, to amend the Reclamation Wastewater and Groundwater Study and Facilities Act to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to participate in the Avra/Black Wash Reclamation and Riparian Restoration Project in Arizona; H.R. 637, to authorize the Secretary, in cooperation with the City of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., to participate in the design, planning and construction of an advanced water treatment plant facility and recycled water system; H.R. 1120, to amend the Reclamation Wastewater and Groundwater Study and Facilities Act to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to participate in the Central Texas Water Recycling and Reuse Project; H.R. 1219, to make amendments to the Reclamation Projects Authorization and Adjustment Act of 1992; H.R. 1393, to amend the Lower Rio Grande Valley Water Resources Conservation and Improvement Act of 2000 to authorize additional projects and activities under that Act; and H.R. 2522, to raise the ceiling on the Federal share of the cost of the Calleguas Municipal Water District Recycling Project in California.  Witnesses will include Kira Finkler, deputy commissioner for external and intergovernmental affairs, Bureau of Reclamation, Department of the Interior; Tim Quinn, executive director, Association of California Water Agencies, Sacramento; and Edward Brookshier, city manager, Hermiston, Ore.  (Dirksen 366 at 3:00 p.m.)
 
·        On Wednesday, April 28, the Subcommittee on Public Lands and Forests will consider S. 1241, to direct the Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary of Agriculture to require annual permits and assess annual fees for commercial filming activities on Federal land for film crews of five or fewer; S. 1571/H.R. 1043, to provide for a land exchange involving National Forest System land in the Mendocino National Forest in California; S. 2762, to designate certain lands in San Miguel, Ouray and San Juan counties, Colorado, as wilderness; S. 3075, to withdraw certain Federal land and interests in that land from location, entry and patent under the mining laws, and disposition under the mineral and geothermal leasing laws; S. 3185, to require the Secretary of the Interior to convey certain Federal land to Elko County, Nev., and to take land into trust for the Te-moak Tribe of Western Shoshone Indians of Nevada; and H.R. 86, to eliminate an unused lighthouse reservation and provide management consistency by incorporating the rocks and small islands along the coast of Orange County, California, into the California Coastal National Monument, managed by the Bureau of Land Management.  Witnesses will include Marcilynn Burke, deputy director, Bureau of Land Management, Department of the Interior, and Faye Krueger, acting associate deputy chief, National Forest System, U.S. Forest Service.  (Dirksen 366 at 2:30 p.m.)
