Why: To receive testimony regarding the prospects for liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the United States and to discuss the safety and security issues related to LNG development. Witnesses will be the FERC, the Coast Guard, State authorities, and industry stakeholders. Issues that will be discussed include LNG siting process; risk assessment; and the State and local governments’ role.
