Washington, D.C. – Late last night, ranking member of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.), submitted a statement for the record regarding the GOP’s failure to address wildfires in the budget agreement:
In the statement, Senator Cantwell said, “How much longer are we going to short change fire programs?”
“We need a better management strategy for our National Forests–an innovative strategy to manage our forests in smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable ways,” said Senator Cantwell.
