Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee Chairman Jeff Bingaman (D-NM) and House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Billy Tauzin (R-LA) have announced that the first meeting of the House-Senate conference on energy legislation will be this Thursday, June 27, in Rayburn 2123, starting at 9:30 a.m.
The press and public can attend this opening session, which will be televised. Most of this meeting is expected to be spent on opening statements, and any organizational business that may be necessary.
