The hearing will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. EST in Room 366 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C.

The purpose of this hearing is to examine the role of the U.S. Geological Survey and the U.S. Forest Service in preparing for and responding to natural hazard events, as well as the current status of mapping and monitoring systems.

The hearing will be webcast live on the committee’s website, and an archived video will be available shortly after the hearing is complete.  Witness testimony will be available on the website at the start of the hearing.
