Week Ahead: April 16-20

On Thursday, April 19, the full committee will examine the impacts of rising sea levels on domestic infrastructures.  Witnesses include Dr. Waleed Abdalati, chief scientist, National Aeronautic and Space Administration, Washington, DC; Dr. Leonard Berry, director, Florida Center for Environmental Studies, Jupiter, FL; Dr. Ben Strauss, chief operating officer and director of the program on sea level rise, Climate Central, Princeton, NJ; Adam Freed, Deputy Director, Mayor’s Office of Long-Term Planning and Sustainability, City of New York; Dr. Anthony Janetos, director of the Joint Global Change Research Institute, College Park, MD.  Additional witnesses may be added; the final witness list will be posted to the website.  (Dirksen 366 at 9:30 a.m.)
