Today, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission announced that it is seeking public comment on proposed rules to implement the provisions of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 that granted FERC the authority to coordinate the processing of interstate natural gas infrastructure proposals among federal and state authorities and to maintain a consolidated record of decisions for judicial review. Because of EPACT the process for developing energy infrastructure will be expedited and we will prevent unreasonable government delay in helping provide Americans with the necessary infrastructure for an adequate supply of affordable, reliable and clean natural gas.
