U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, today announced three additions to the Republican staff of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. The new hires include Severin Randall, Brianne Miller, and Michael Tadeo.

“Severin, Brianne, and Michael are valuable additions to the committee staff,” Murkowski said. “I am excited to have them on board as we begin work on a broad review of our nation’s energy and natural resource policies.”

Randall joins the energy committee staff after working for the U.S. House of Representatives as an assistant parliamentarian from 2012 to 2015. In that role, she provided non-partisan advice on the rules of the House. Upon graduation from Harvard Law School in 2012, she was awarded a Heyman Fellowship for academic excellence and her commitment to federal service. Severin graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2009 and was privileged to represent UAA in debate tournaments around the world.

Miller comes to the energy committee by way of the office Sen. James Risch, R-Idaho, where she handled energy issues, including activities at the Idaho National Laboratory, nuclear waste policy, energy development, and cybersecurity. Miller previously worked for Rep. Doc Hastings of Washington state, where she served as legislative director and was responsible for the congressman’s activities on the cleanup of the Hanford site, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects, and immigration. She also led efforts for the Nuclear Cleanup Caucus. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.

Tadeo will serve as deputy communications director for the energy committee. He brings with him valuable communications experience from his time on the House Natural Resources Committee, under Chairman Doc Hastings of Washington. Before that he served as communications director for Rep. Bill Johnson of Ohio. Tadeo is a graduate of Fordham University.
