Sen. Portman highlights his bipartisan work to promote energy efficiency with the introduction of the Energy and Savings Industrial Competitiveness Act. S.720 would encourage the use of energy efficient technologies across the commercial, residential, and industrial sectors of our economy.

“We need to produce more energy but also use the energy we have more efficiently,” Sen Portman says in the video. “Creating more jobs and protecting the environment are goals that should cross the political aisle and garner bipartisan support. And we can do both. We’ve got to be sure we are handing down to future generations an America that is not only the world’s leading economic power, but also a loud voice for a healthy planet.”

Sen. Portman’s full video statement is available on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee website.
