Energy Committee Democrats Add Communications Director

Reporters Invited To Contact Press Aide For Help in Coverage of Energy Topics, Public Lands Issues Democrats on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee have hired a communications director to help reporters in coverage of short- and long-term energy challenges facing America. Bill Wicker comes to the committee from the U.S. Department of Energy, where he was special assistant and press secretary to the deputy secretary. Appointed by President Clinton in 1994, he has served three Energy Secretaries. Previously, he spent 16 years doing communications work for energy companies in Texas, Oklahoma and California.
